Most Managers do not have the skills to deal with these complex personal situations. In S.A.F.E. Conversations Skills a Manager is not taught to be a Doctor or Therapist. They are taught to notice the signs that a Team Member may be struggling and to engage in a compassionate person-centered conversation to empower the person to get assistance either through their Employee Assistance Program or their own Doctor, or other sources of assistance
The Key Outcomes will be –
–1. How to identify the signs of mental unwellness
–2. How to approach a team member – what to say and what not to say
–3. How to have a caring conversation and help the person come to their own awareness
–4. How to know what resources to refer to
–5. How to manage your own self-care and the rest of the team
–1. A best practice discussion framework to connect authentically with team members who are remote/hybrid/in-office
